Dialup Support
This tutorial will help guide you through setting up a Net Solutions dialup account. Normally, all you will need is your dialup username and password and the dialup number. All the other information will be automatically picked up by your modem during the syncronisation process.
The National Dialup Access Number is 0198333120
All usernames are in the format (Aktiviere JavaScript, um die Email-Adresse zu sehen) (replace username with your actual username)
Your password is case sensitive.
Pre-installation check
- You have an normal 56k Dialup Modem. An ADSL modem will work as ADSL uses completely different technology. There are many brands of Dialup modems that work on Australian exchanges.
- You have access to your telephone line and your modem is supplied with cables
- Your Dialup Modem will need to connect to you computer. If you have an external modem you need a cable that plugs into the modem and into the computer using a serial port. If you have an Internal modem this step is not necessary.
- At this point you need to configure the modem. In most cases this is fairly straight forward and the only information you will need from Net Solutions is a username and password. The rest is automatically configured.
Mail Setup
The settings below are applicable to Net Solutions services only. If you have a Dialup service with another provider, these settings will not work. Please seek support from your existing provider.
