Internet Access

Net Solutions offers broadband services using ADSL2+ technology offering speeds of up to 20Mbps. We have stopped supplying traditional ADSL, and 56k dialup as ADSL2+ is more cost effective.
We have also removed ‘usage’ based so that you will never experience the dreaded “Bill Shock”. We have implemented ‘Shaped’ and ‘Shaped Peak & Off Peak’ plans which offer a flat monthly fee while providing generous amounts of data. If you should exceed your monthly data allowance in any given month, the service speed is shaped to 128kb/128kb until the next month. You will not be billed for any excess data usage!
Please note that ADSL2+ offers a 20Mbps theoretical maximum speed as provided by our carrier. In practicality it is not usually possible to receive speeds this high, even under the very best conditions. Below are the major factors that will influence the actual speed of your ADSL2+ service.
- Distance from the local telephone exchange/length of the copper wire from your address to the exchange
- Quality of the copper phone line
- Demand at peak times
- The number and type of other digital services being used by other customers over copper pairs within the same cable sheath
- Electrical interference from outside sources
- Quality of ADSL filter (central filter for best results)
- Quality of your ADSL2 Router/Modem (You must have an ADSL2 compatable Router/Modem) please see ozcableguy.com for comprehensive list
